1950s

1967 – A young German winemaker, Wolfgang Blass, visits Langhorne Creek and buys 10 tons of shiraz and cabernet sauvignon from Fiddle Potts.

1952 – Lenny Potts marries Vera May Perrey of Mosquito Creek in St John's Anglican Church, Langhorne Creek.

1961 – Lenny Potts scores 136 and took 5/32 and 6/30 in the Langhorne Creek cricket final against Ashbourne.

1964 – At the age of 36 Lenny Potts is selected in the Australian rifle team and heads to England and Canada to represent Australia.

1968 – The wine by Wolf Blass from Fiddles fruit is entered in wine shows in every capital city in Australia and won two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze. Thus became a friendship enjoyed for the remaining years of Fiddle's life and brought fame to Langhorne Creek as a premium wine grape area.

1977 – Sixth generation winemaker Ben Potts is born!

1979 – Mechanical harvesting is introduced into the Langhorne Creek district. 

1992 – Heavy rainfall results in several large floods culminating in the 2nd largest flood on record in the River Bremer on December 18. In the same year, Langhorne Creek recorded its highest annual rainfall on record at 650mm.

1996 – Lenny Potts is awarded the title of "Legend of Langhorne Creek" in recognition of his contribution to the grape growing industry over the previous 30 years.
