1800's

1815 – Elizabeth, wife of Lawrence Potts, gave birth to a son in a small village of Hounslow, 13 miles west of the city of London. Five weeks later, on August 6, the baby was baptised in the nearby village of Heston and was given the name Francis. This youngster, who became known as Frank, is the first generation of winemakers in the Potts family and the founder of Bleasdale Wines in Langhorne Creek, South Australia.

1836 – June 11 Frank Potts I  is successful in being selected for free passage to South Australia he arrives 135 days of actual sailing and 16, 200 miles later into Holdfast Bay on board the HMS Buffalo.
