Thick, soft and generous – you’d pick it as Langhorne Creek from a mile off. It’s curranty and earthn and minty and, while it’s essentially just a big well-balanced mouthful of fun, it does a good turn at elegance through the finish. Good fine tannin, noteworthy length. It can be consumed now or later. Drink 2011 -2017 Rated 93 points

THE WINE FRONT - BY GARY WALSH

They sent two bottles of this Cabernet that comes off fifty year old vines, so I popped one and gave it a sniff, took it home and deposited the unopened bottle with the lady who runs the daycare centre at which my son attends. The verdict this morning that was it was a magnificent wine. Beeeeuuutiful. So there you have it.

Mint, chocolate and rich curranty black fruit with a good clip of toasty vanilla oak. It’s full bodied and packed with flavour and smooth tannic impact. Has a distinctly savoury salty taste and closes with the flavour of Dutch licorice. Hearty, flavoursome, crowd pleasing style that comes with all the bells and whistles. Rated 91 Points
